Product Description
In the war against vampires, mankind has only one hope: The Dark-Hunters. Ancient warriors who died of brutal betrayal, the Dark-Hunters have sworn themselves into the service of the goddess Artemis to protect us.
It's a pact with pretty good perks. Immortality, power, psychic abilities, wealth and a cool wardrobe. But it comes with a few drawbacks: fatal sun poisoning and a new, irreparable dental problem. But aside from the fangs and nocturnal lifestyle, it's not so bad. Kyrian is an immortal Dark-Hunter who just lost his Dark-Hunter powers and along with it, his immortality. Now he is faced with the chance to regain not only his humanity, but his very soul. The problem is, it couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Desiderius is closing in and if Kyrian and Amanda are going to save humanity then Kyrian must take the war to his enemy or it may be too late.

Excellent Manga Adaptation March 8, 2010 Lunataina (Miami, Florida, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I truly enjoyed this second installement of the Dark Hunter Manga Series. This is the second half of the book Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon (the first half is in volume 1). As mentioned in the description, it is mainly Kyrian and Amanda's story, although fans of the series know that they keep showing up in novels later on, so their story doesn't end yet. The novel was adapted well to the manga format. I think dividing the story into two volumes was necessary to keep the integrity of the story. Of course, there are some differences between the novel and the manga, however they are minimal and mostly done to keep the graphic novel tasteful as well as ensuring the book flowed properly. The drawings are beautifully done, and draw the reader in as much as the descriptions in the novel do. Most importantly, new readers to this series can fully understand the story without having to read the novels (although I believe they would be missing out if they do, since there is really no substitute to the original). Fans of the Dark Hunter series should be very happy with this manga adaptation. New readers who may be looking for a great new manga series should be very happy with this as well. I am looking forward to Talon's story next since he is one of my favorites.
Cant wait for the next one May 7, 2010 Carrie Enriquez i love that they made a DH comic! some of the characters i totally pictured them like they are drawn and some of them...well i would have drawn them differently, but i am glad they changed the way Nick looked from the first vol and the second vol. he did not look cute at all in the first. great story but i wish there was a little more action than all the explanations but i guess you need that for those who have forgotten or are starting fresh on this series. good read!
Love the Darkhunters April 26, 2010 Jane Ann B. Hoskins (Kingston, TN USA) I am a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Darkhunter series and these manga books are a wonderful addition to the group. I had never read manga before and it took a bit of adjustment to read from the back to the front but I love the illustrations and the condensed story (based on the book). A total thumbs up!
Pure delight April 14, 2010 Claudia E. Gomez Ayala (Tamaulipas, MX) I must say that I never imagine someone could have a good designing skill to picture the central characters as Claudia did. Her imagination combined with the writing skills of Sherrilyn are amazing and the product withdraw is purely heaven. I'm pretty much expecting the next issue.
Kept putting it down March 17, 2010 SereneNight (California, USA) Manga art is hit or miss for me. If the characters start to look too juvenile then I find the characters irritating rather than entertaining. This books is borderline. I did like the way Kyrian was drawn, but Talon looked a bit skinny and Acheron looked like a harpy with that mane of unkept hair. I have difficulty imagining him as being handsome, when he looks like a woman with a bad wig.
It seemed like every other scene Kyrian is tortured and brutilized in some way. It got old.. Once or twice maybe. But he's incapacitated about 3 times in the book, not counting the flashbacks. Perhaps this works better in a novel format, but I found the "Kyrian in jeapordy" got tiresome. It seems like bad fanfic.
If you like Kenyon and manga, this might be one to pick up. Be forewarned, although this is a comic, in manga fashion, this isn't for kids. There are some adult scenes, including a somewhat freudian scene where the heroine is sipping soup off her finger and it looks nothing like a finger but something else entirely. *Eyeroll*
I didn't like this one as much as other comics I've read. If comic works by this author interest you, you might try the Lords of Avalon. I find the art superior and the plot less... Silly.
